Likely the last time I was showing a poster on cages, and lovely to do so at home for Supr@Paris 2024. Well deserved rest at home now and next stop Girona Seminar 2024 in 10d 💃🫶🏻🧑🔬

Looking forward to a great week full of supramolecular science here in this beautiful city. ¡Vamos! Girona Seminar 2024

The first speaker of the session is LauraNeukirch (Clever Lab, TU Dortmund), who presents her most recent work on non-templated assembly of five-membered Pd5L10 rings by precise ligand angle adjustment #GirSem24 IQCC UdG

The last speaker of the session is Alexandre Walther (Clever Lab, TU Dortmund). He presents his research on the transformation and self-sorting in azulene-based coordination cages. #GirSem24 IQCC UdG

The next speaker of the session is David Van Craen (TU Dortmund) who presents the research done in his group on neutral metallocontainers for anion recognition #GirSem24 IQCC UdG

Turn by Elie Benchimol (Clever Lab, TU Dortmund), who presents his research on multicage systems #GirSem24 IQCC UdG

First talk on a big stage at Girona Seminar 2024. 🎉 Thankful for the opportunity to show my results as a (little) PhD student in Clever Lab lab in front of such a great audience of chemists. A beautiful conference in Girona so far. Enjoying both science and Spanish life! GRK2376 "Confinement-Controlled Chemistry"

Enjoyed the poster-session at Girona Seminar 2024 to show my work at David Van Craen-Lab today. Had great discussions with experts of the field and I am grateful for the suggestions. Big compliment to the organization-committee; great venue and even more great talks at the sessions.

Great science from Shaymaa Al Shehimy and David Van Craen, among so many other excellent oral and poster presentations inside a 14th-century church in the beautiful Girona - thank you Agustí Lledó xribas et al. for organizing, “Girona Seminar” means excellence!

This was the very first project I worked on during my PhD and it was quite a roller coaster! Taught me that getting too excited about something can lead to overseeing mistakes. But pretty glad it made it to Chemistry eventually! And this baby deserves HR picture! GRK2376 "Confinement-Controlled Chemistry"

Beautiful work by Weichao Xue, finally online 🥳🕺🏻 Great collaboration between the Nitschke group and Clever group.

Finally, here is the second big project from my PhD thesis with Clever Lab! There I showed that discrete solvent molecules can stabilise one of several isomers of a cage assembled from the racemate of a ligand through hydrogen bonds.

Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between and outside. With this I proudly present you my first research paper in the group of David Van Craen. Thanks to VCI and GRK2376 "Confinement-Controlled Chemistry" for the financial support. doi.org/10.3762/bjoc.2…

We found a new catenation mode of Pd4L8 interpenetrated double cages: instead of a classic D4-symmetric dimer, the staggered structure has C2h symmetry, stabilized by non-covalent interactions.
