Thanks to Evan Moffitt and the ⁦UCL⁩ ‘Duck-Rabbit’ student society for organising an interesting event on the perception of Space & Time, with talks by Neuroscientist John O’Keefe (Nobel Prize laureate) and myself, followed by a lively discussion.

It was a pleasure to host Steven Balbus (⁦⁦Department of Physics at University of Oxford⁩ ) @UCL for a stimulating ‘Perren Masterclass’ on ‘Pleasant Surprises in #GeneralRelativity’.

Renowned author and social activist Sami Michael sadly passed away at age 97. He was a close family friend. I was fortunate to have inspiring conversations with him in my youth. RIP

New DESI Survey results validate spectacularly that the universe’s expansion is accelerating, probably due Dark Energy. ⁦UCL⁩ has contributed, with ⁦Science and Technology Facilities Council⁩ support, to the construction of the DESI optics and to the science analysis. ucl.ac.uk/news/2024/apr/…
