Community action at its best! 249kg or 53 bags of rubbish removed by 100 volunteers on a cold February morning. Amazing job by all! Thank you for coming along and helping out! Special thanks to Keep Wales Tidy too! Diolch

2 years of poor bathing water in Ogmore by Sea. Billions of litres of raw sewage pumped into the Ogmore river. 300% increase in discharges from the Welsh Water treatment works with dangerous levels of e.coli in the water. Feargal Sharkey could you help by sharing please? 🤞🏻

I’d like to thank Continental Tyres for helping fund the river clean this year. We aim to remove 15,000 end of life tyres from the river once and for all with a view to improving the health of the river for future generations. 🛞

Thank you Keep Wales Tidy for providing us with litter bags to remove all of this rubbish from our river. Mainly drinks bottles washed down or up the estuary. At least this lot won’t be causing any more harm to the environment. 👍🏻🏴

I wonder how many bonuses will be paid to the executives for this appalling performance? Welsh Water when will you provide the answer to that question? When will you stop filling our rivers with sewage? Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru | Natural Resources Wales when will you clamp down on this unacceptable operation?

nation.cymru/news/pay-to-po… Feargal Sharkey is this happening in England? £Millions paid by Welsh Water to Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru | Natural Resources Wales for the right to discharge sewage into our rivers. Is it hush money? We see very few prosecutions. How does this £50m look with very few prosecutions?

What a great week we had! 6,000 tyres and 11 tonnes of rubbish from the Ogmore river. Thank you to all 600+ volunteers who came to help. See you next year on the river for the rest of the 5,000+ tyres. Huw Irranca-Davies Kanishka Narayan MP & Chris Elmore MP thank you for coming along!

This Friday at 7pm, the river clean will feature on ITV Wales’ Coast & Country programme. Tune in to see how we did and to see who took part. Thank you to everyone who supported the project and who continue to do so. Feargal Sharkey, water quality next….
