It's no secret that the D7 state title was decided two weeks ago when Marion Local beat MAC foe Minster 21-7 in the Region 28 final.

Olentangy Liberty wins its first ever State Football Title, beating Moeller, 28-14! I’d call it an upset but Liberty was absolutely the better team. Huge plays all night long from seniors Andrew Leonard, Jake Struck, & Christian Moulton!

Kirtland and Coldwater are the state's two best small-school programs not named Marion Local. Each has 7 state championships and 13 title game appearances in the last two decades. The highlight of the weekend in Canton, this should be a phenomenal game!

In a world with many athletes only care about themselves, young athletes use Tez Johnson as examples! Be about the game, be about sportsmanship, respect your opponents, respect the game and be a great example for the young athletes watching you!

the school principal and head football coach stopped a team bus (with all players) to shout obscenities at a retired football coach ? because they were mad that said coach allowed their opponent to practice at his field ? a school principal! How is this just a suspension?

An incredible run for Brad Burchfield at Hartley has come to an end after 17 seasons, 168 wins and three state championships. Next stop, coming soon I presume.

In high school wheelchair basketball, the road to Kent State begins this week. Defending champ Tallmadge (14-0) is the top seed, followed by Massillon Jackson (11-2).

That's a wrap on another season of OHSAA and OIAS high school basketball for me. Congrats to Tallmadge and to all of the OHSAA teams still playing! In just a few months, it will be time for the Friday night lights once again.
