#Sheatrees form about 55% of the vegetative cover of Otuke district, northern Uganda. This is why investing to conserve and protect shea trees, and adding value to shea nuts is a core facet of our work. We will work hard to sustainability utilize this gift nature gave us.

Today, we received amazing blue gifts, thanks to Stanbic Bank Uganda. The blue school bag contains a solar lighting gadget and a menstrual kit provided by the ShareCARD team for the girls. I can only say, #apwoyo to Diana Ondoga, HardGirl, et. al.

Today was such a special day,I had the privilege to visit Okere City where we handed over solar powered bags and sanitary towels to the pupils of Okere city. This visit truly reminded me of the saying ‘Despise not the days of humble beginnings’ The solar powered bags will help

#KLAART24 artist Mona will be showcasing an installation she spent 3 weeks last year to create. Named YAO (Lango word for shea butter) the installation is an audio-visual portrayal of shea nuts collection and shea butter production and the role of women in it. FG Foundation

Spending time with farmers in Okere city, Otuke district, was a rewarding experience! We trained and set up demo farms together. Providing quality seeds is important, but equipping farmers with the right agronomic knowledge ensures they get the best results. #GrowingTogether

Bringing a jar of quality shea butter to your cosmetics shelf is a result of a laborious & hard work of many people. Our hope is that our customers appreciate not only the qty of #OkereSheaButter but also the love, hard work of our local community who bring the product to life.

Farmers in Okere have traditionally broadcast rice—a method that’s wasteful and limits yields. Through our #regenerativeagriculture program, we’re training them in sustainable, organic practices that boost productivity, food security, and incomes. 🌾🌱 #SustainableFarming

We are using leaves of local plants like neem, tomatoes, chilli, African Marigold, garlic to make organic pesticides to fight common plant pests and diseases in Okere as part our organic/regen/sustainable agric intervention.
