Sometimes you see videos that players post that have fundamental flaws in their technique. It's working for them now, and they're enjoying success, but you know they're going to get eaten alive at the next level. It's so so so hard not to comment.

Kids say the funniest things. I was out at the field today for the league draft workout. One of the kids came up to me and said, you're coaching again? I replied, yes. He said, when are you going to quit? 🤣😂🫢🤔 I'm starting my 30th season. ⚾

I'm often amazed at the variety of wildly stupid hitting drills and apparatus that populate my feed. Does anyone take a step back and ask how does this fit into the big picture? Anything for a dollar

Hard to believe…College baseball season just a month away….posted this video several years ago….still one of my favorites told by one of my favorite people Coach Mike Bianco from Ole Miss Baseball Who Packs Your Parachute!

Elite coaches understand that they can manipulate outcomes. Coaching as an action verb. You can influence bench play, mindsets, fundamentals, and skills. But if it’s not in your practice plan daily…you don’t value it. Be the CEO of your team💪

Fly balls can't take bad hops. Fly balls don't require the fielder to catch AND throw the ball to record an out. Beyond Little League most fly balls are easy outs. Teaching a swing that produces mostly fly balls doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

A few questions that come to mind 🤔 1. How many of these players on these teams were developed by that organization? 2. How many players were flown in? 3. How many players don't pay a player fee? 4. How many of the guys know each other before playing together in a

As a hitting coach, I watched players come back to the dugout after making an out. They'd look at me and ask, "What'd you see?" I'd go through the mechanical stuff - back side collapse, front side energy, head came off the ball. Man, it was wearing me out! Finally, I

"Satchel Paige had a very, very good fastball... but the first time I faced Satchel, he threw me a little breaking ball, just to see what I could do, and I hit it off the top of the fence. I got a double. When I got to second, Satchel told the third baseman, 'Let me know when

I'm watching the Georgia Tech Baseball vs Ole Miss baseball game. I don't have a dog in this fight but the plate umpire should never call a game again in his life. No way he's impartial. No way.

This college baseball post season is already off to a horrible start in terms of sportsmanship by players, fans and coaches. Let's hope that this is a passing thing because it's not good for our sport. PLEASE hold yourselves to a higher standard.

Ok football people, you can just hold up. We're in the prime of baseball season and you can wait your turn. It's like putting Christmas carols on the radio before Halloween.

This is a HUGE opportunity for young players. This coach is one of the very best coaches I've ever known in my life. He's an incredible teacher of all of the finer points of the game. All of his players play. And he just does everything the right way.
