Iāve been working with ā¦Prof. Christian Dunnā© to collect wetlands material to analyse on my trip to the bottom of Africa. And the local golf course has impressive wetlands! But I discovered today that they also have these snake-themed signs at the edge of the roughā¦

For those worried about ā¦Prof. Christian Dunnā© saying that wetland snakes arenāt dangerous⦠this is not my swollen hand after a bite! Itās a prickly pear fruit. The fruit that the cheerful bear sings about in The Jungle Book. And (sorry Christian) Iām a long way from a wetland!

Yesterday I was able to collect the African leg of wetlands mud data for ā¦Prof. Christian Dunnā©. He wanted me to locate it with the āwhat3wordsā app. Instead, my phone logged it by taking a picture from outer space⦠Are these the geolocation data you needed, Christian?

The first day of our ā¦@VisceralMind brain dissection summer schoolā©. Afterwards, I took our students on a tour of ā¦Bangor Universityā© architecture and art collection. Another wonderful connection between art and (neuro)anatomy.

Wonderful to host todayās unveiling of our new portrait, of the Thodays. An amazing ā¦Bangor Universityā© scientific couple, from a century ago. They were innovative in plant physiology, and are immortalised here by our portrait artist Meinir Mathias.

Such a pleasure to spend a week on #SAbrainhack2024 in South Africa. And with some spare time to produce little sketches of ā¦Stephanie Forkelā© and ā¦Michel Thiebaut de Sā©.

Very proud to see our students and staff marching in London for clean water, ā¦Prof. Christian Dunnā©. And with an imaginative and powerful Winnie-the-pooh message!
