👏Congratulations to Olivia Marchand (Class of 2024; JPII Hyannis Athletics) on breaking the Swish record for 3’s in a season! She made her 34th in today’s win on Nantucket to break our previous record set by Abby Al-Asousi (Class of 2020; Barnstable Athletics) in the 2019-20 season. 🧡💙

📓”Book” stats with a handful of games left. Huge week from @OliviaGourdine (Class of 2022; Barnstable Athletics) — 29 points per game, six 3’s, and 69% (11/16) from the line — to cap her regular season. Proud to say all of our varsity players have qualified for state tournament! 🧡💙

Here’s a look at the record-breaking three-pointer by Olivia Marchand (Class of 2024; JPII Hyannis Athletics) against Nantucket. Chris Morris The Voice of Whalers Sports, the Voice of the Whalers, on the call! Can’t wait to get this girl back in the gym — no player works harder.

Thrilled to welcome Olivia Marchand (Class of 2024; JPII Hyannis Athletics) back for her second season with our program. “The Machine” is narrowing her focus on basketball and is an early favorite to ascend to All-Swish status this Spring with her leadership skills and playmaking. 💙🧡

⌚️It was great timing for Olivia Marchand (Class of 2024; JPII Hyannis Athletics) to produce a career-high 24 points & bury three 3’s in her very first state tournament game — a 55-34 win over Boston Green Academy on Tuesday evening. 🧡💙

Melissa Velasquez (Class of 2023; Monomoy Athletics) & Olivia Marchand (Class of 2024; JPII Hyannis Athletics) finished the 2021-22 season with 4️⃣0️⃣ & 3️⃣9️⃣ made 3’s, respectively. Model representatives of our development approach across last Spring, Summer, & Fall. Absolutely amazing! 🧡💙

Excited to announce that I will be attending St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire and reclassifying to the Class of 2025! #GoBigRed Swish Bash Hudson Prep Girls Hoops New England St. Paul's School Athletics (NH)

Exciting development for Olivia Marchand following an all-star sophomore season at JPII Hyannis Athletics. St. Paul's School Admissions is regarded as one of the most elite boarding schools in the country. She’ll be a leader of our varsity-level group this Spring as she prepares for play in NEPSAC ®.

🎨 “Blank Canvas.” A new group with an opportunity to shape the next phase of our program. Initial testing has set baseline upon which growth will measured. Our Class of 2025 players (Olivia Marchand, AubrieSchwager, McKinley Wenzel, & Jojo Ready) have formed a new core. 🧡💙

Lots of teaching tonight as our groups implement new concepts. Working to fully extend on layups with hand under the ball as opposed to “youth” layups. @OliviaGourdine (Class of 2022; Barnstable Athletics) expended 2,074 calories in the two sessions — almost equivalent to a marathon!

“Pacing.” Get off the phones and focus on transitions. Know your weights from the previous week and have a plan entering sessions. Olivia Marchand (Class of 2025; St. Paul's School Athletics (NH)) served notice that she’s here to compete every session. Her fitness game is on another level! 💙🧡

Playmaking is ahead of schedule as younger players are rapidly ascending. Perimeter group produced a light-show in the live segment punctuated by a game-winning bomb by McKinley Wenzel (Class of 2025; BourneGirlsBasketball). Ultra-competitive group yet supportive of each other. 💙🧡

“Unrestricted!” We’ve allowed the girls to increase their weights in the gym and let it rip. Also, we’re preparing to let loose on Thursday in an exhibition game against Belgium. Tianna Fernandez (Class of 2022; Barnstable Athletics) continues to emerge as a leader of the group! 💙🧡

“Mid-term” testing was in order as we’ve reached the halfway point of Spring. Some jaw-dropping performances from certain players — including 30 goblet squats with an 80 pound dumbbell by Olivia Marchand (Class of 2025; St. Paul's School Athletics (NH)) — as our format is yielding huge gains! 🧡💙
