#UrbanForestFriday: We've been busy growing #Cambridge's #UrbanForest with many new #trees planted this winter. City residents value the multiple benefits delivered by trees too & are helping to maximise their biodiversity potential! #CherryHinton #StakeHouse #BugHouse #BirdBox

Thank you to James Rebanks and @ChilternsAONB for a fab talk tonight about regenerative agriculture. Gives me hope that together we can transform our farmland and bring nature back. #EarthOptimism

I;m not going to lie, learning to use technology in the wake of my vision loss has not been easy, but has been made all the more bearable through the support and friendship provided by the legend Jerry Gilbert from CamSight

Lord Krebs in today’s debate on The Environment Bill. Is indeed shocking how evidence was ignored in the last two CAP reforms. In both cases we said it wouldn’t work (and it didn’t); we suggested evidence-based alternatives. Billions of Euros wasted from not looking at evidence.

We had a wonderful time taking part in the British Science Festival in Chelmsford yesterday! Our ACE students were reunited with Olivia Norfolk from ARU_Biology, and assisted at her 'Back to Nature' activity. Grateful thanks to British Science Association who made our project possible.

Important blog in The Conversation on the catastrophic problem of ignoring non English studies in Conservation. For about half the planet the majority of the literature isn't in English. 36% of literature not in English. Yet this literature largely ignored bit.ly/3alu2sy

I am retiring! I am stepping down from my role at ARU_Biology due to ill health. I have loved working in ecology and want to thank all of you for being there for me along the way. On to pastures new.
