I cried listening to a story of a mother with her sick husband, living in a tent, describing how happy she was because she received a food basket—because now, with the very little money she had left, she could finally buy some mats to sleep on. لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله.

Anyone claiming RSF’s actions in Zamzam are justified should be aware that the man who ran the main children’s program in Zamzam is now dead. Ahmed was a humanitarian and a hero. There is no excuse for what is happening now in Zamzam and what may be about to happen in El Fasher.

We lost a hero. Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Salih Sayidna dedicated his life to children in Zamzam, and was killed in the RSF shelling. His passing is not just a loss for SAPA— it’s a loss for humanity. May we honor him by continuing the work he gave everything for.

We are devastated for the loss of one of our integral SAPA Members on the ground. The acts of violence perpetuated by the RSF are ongoing, with complete disregard to all decency and respect to human lives. ربنا يرحمك ويغفر ليك يا أستاذ احمد ويتقبلك القبول الحسن

Today is a heartbreaking day for all of us at SAPA. We mourn the loss of our colleague, Mr. Ahmed Salih, who was tragically killed by the RSF. Ahmed was a true humanitarian, dedicated to supporting displaced children in Zamzam Camp. His compassion will never be forgotten.

Words cannot describe how proud I am of the swift response of SAPA-Sudanese American Physicians Association’s Khartoum team to the cholera outbreak. A true showmanship of resilience, dedication, and outright stubbornness of overcoming all obstacles to make things happen. Thank you!

📢 It’s official: Humanitarian Research Lab (HRL) at YSPH shuts down on July 1 and ends its missions on tracking Ukraine’s abducted kids and genocide in Darfur without further funding. We will continue our work as long as we can, but we are running on fumes. See CNN story from today below ⬇️.
