In absolutely perfect timing for #ASHG24 I am so pleased to announce the labs second manuscript that was entirely conducted Human Technopole. Here we showcase the power of diffusion autoencoders for phenotyping time resolved cardiac MRIs in 70k subjects. medrxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…

We have so much more in the manuscript, including novel loci, disease agnostic PRS risk prediction, exome analyses and more! I couldn't be prouder of the two first authors Sara Ometto and Soumick. This started as Sara Ometto masters project(!)

Curious about how unsupervised learning can reveal phenotypic and genetic insights from MRI images? Don’t miss the chance to check out Sara Ometto ‘s incredible poster, showcasing pioneering work done alongside Soumick in the Craig Glastonbury group! glastonburygroup.github.io/CardiacDiffAE_….

At #ASHG and interested in deep learning for disease prediction? Come visit Francesco Cisternino ‘s poster: imaging + transcriptomics to understand how carotid plaque morphology affects patients symptoms and MACE risk (board 4081T) #ASHG2024

Thank you Sara! Happy to finally present the work we’ve been doing with the labs of Sander van deer Laan (UMC Utrecht) and Clint Miller (UVA) on carotid plaque morphology and vulnerability at #ASHG24 😊

Emanuel Soda is presenting his project aimed at understating the morphological and transcriptional variability of colon crypts in inflammatory bowel disease. Poster board 5024! #ASHG2024

⭐Research highlight: Post-war rationing in the UK in 1953 facilitated a natural experiment that now reveals that restricting sugar intake in early life reduces the risk of #diabetes and #hypertension. Science Magazine nature.com/articles/d4159…

An amazing lesson on spatial transcriptomics by these two Francesco Cisternino Emanuel Soda 🤩

Great collaboration as detailed in the thread and another first author paper for Francesco Cisternino from my group! 😊
