BASEBALL | Game 22 of 2025 Tomball 7, Cypress Woods 2 at Cy-Fair Thursday night. Have been to 22 different new "fields, ballparks or stadiums" to me this year. Place was packed. Stood the whole game, but I had a great spot on the 3B side.

Times have changed. Was wrapping up eight miles on The Waterway in The Woodlands at 11:30 a.m. and I saw a woman going to a high school graduation at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion - which is outdoors and it's hot - in a ... Caitlin Clark jersey.

Hope somebody turned the lights out in Bridge City. Great turnout by Cardinals faithful here in Montgomery for game 2 of the UIL 4A Division II regional finals against the Salado Eagles. Bridge City won last night in Waller, 6-2.

Game 2 of 2025 UIL 1A baseball semifinals between Brookeland and Fayetteville. Nobody left in either town!

BASEBALL | The 22 UIL series in the 2025 semifinal round are being played out at five (5) minor league stadiums, six (6) college campuses and seven (7) high school facilities. Some like DBU and Frisco are being used in more than one series.

Was out in Caldwell for tonight’s Game 3 of UIL 2A Division I semifinal between Schulenburg and Centerville. First inning 46 pitches. Next five? 101. Game time: 1:39. Centerville advances with 1-0 win.

Don't know if it was by design - probably not - but saw Trinity got knocked out of the Division III tournament by Rowan, 13-2, this morning. Four of the five senior pitchers got to throw in what turned out to be the last game of the season - and likely their collegiate career.

Katy Free 5K Run finish this morning before church. Looked good physically (evidence of the work the last two years), but the humidity kicked my butt. Ran a lot better on Monday in Huntsville with some inclines.

School is posting bat exit velo speed of second and third graders from camp in a social media post. C’mon.

Other than work, biggest accomplishment of the day was getting my unread emails in gmail from between 2K-3K down to nine (9).
