π¬π§ Deputy High Commissioner launched the newly refurbished One Health Veterinary Laboratory in Oloitoktok, Kajiado. Supported by UK Research and Innovation, the project works on the concept that the health & well-being of people is linked to the health of their animals and the environment.


The refurbishment & equipping of the laboratory was a collaboration between University of Liverpool & University of Nairobi - a key example of strengthening the One Health Research Capacity within the Horn of Africa.



The Laboratory will continue to be used by the Faculty of the University of Nairobi University of Nairobi in implementing a range projects, working closely with the UK and other international partners.



On 16th February 2022, Kenya reached a significant milestone in combating emerging zoonotic diseases by launching three One Health Strategic documents. Led by Nanyingi Mark πβΉοΈββοΈπ΄ since 2019, the plans aim to strengthen #OneHealth approaches in Kenya. onehealthhorn.net/horn-kenya/kenβ¦
