What's that hanging on the tree? Why it's Dryad's Saddle! Dryad's Saddle or Pheasant's Back Mushroom is just one of many species of mushroom we have in the park. It's scientific name Polyporus Squamosus means Many pores and covered with scales!

Turkey Vultures can be seen soaring high above the trees. They are hoping to catch a hint of carrion on the air through their very large nostril, excellent for finding their next meal. 👃

Alcohol and boating don’t mix. Avoiding alcohol while boating can significantly increase your chances of safely making it back to shore. bit.ly/3WOYmFq #SafeBoatingAwarenessWeek

Yellow-Rumped Warblers are the only warblers that can digest waxy berries. This means that they can overwinter further north than most other warblers. 🍒

Is your campsite bear safe? Bears will be attracted by: 🐻 strong food aromas 🐻 the scent of garbage 🐻 cooking smells 🐻 ripe fruit and pet food left outside All wildlife attractants are best stored in the trunk of your vehicle with its windows closed. ontarioparks.com/parksblog/bear…
