Today we opened our two day Optical Biology Symposium at ChampalimaudF along with UCL PhD students! Highlights of the day included keynote talks on modern imaging approaches, a tour of ChampalimaudF, and a fruitful poster session from students from the three institutes!
Day 2 of the Optical Biology Symposium @IGCiencia, what a day! We opened with great talks on the history of microscopy, current work ongoing at IGC and on the future of accessible microscopy platforms from Gaby G Martins Ricardo Henriques and Diana Morales
Building on this, students from @IGCiencia UCL and ChampalimaudResearch spoke on topics ranging from behavioural neuroscience to transcriptional regulation during cell division. To close this wonderful symposium we enjoyed a beer together while watching Portugal win at @EURO2024! π΅πΉπ¬
What an incredible 3-day retreat in Lisbon with PhD students from ChampalimaudF and @IGCiencia! From roundtable discussions and cutting-edge imaging facility tours to engaging poster sessions and student talks, every moment is inspiring with constant exchange of ideas and fun!π¬
