Continuing on from yesterday, P3/4 were using their knowledge and skills in multiplying, dividing , grouping and sharing and finding fractions of amounts.

We had some visitors in P3/4 today, P 5 came to join us for the day. We wrote some stories about mischievous, or misfortunate mini beasts. Super Effort from all.

Well done to our pupils, they all took part in the family church service this morning. Well done and keep up the good work, without people who are willing to contribute to community events, there are no community events! Everyone appreciates your service to the community. 🤩

P3/4 were investigating and experimenting with the art technique of pointillism using a mix of pens and paint. Super work guys 🤩

Our Ordistar Girl Guides were treated to a fun evening at the beach with games, barbecues, building boats, swimming and splashing as a reward for all their hard working in the community over the past year. They helped with Highland Games, Jubilee, Coronation and Church Services.

I have been trying to get this lot to do maths all day!!!! But for some reason…. They just want to play on pose on the bouncy castles! Well done Ordi-Stars on a successful year! You all truly deserve the fun treats coming your way this week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were learning about living and non-living things and the varying theories of how the world was created. We then had choosing time where we could paint, draw, write, research, listen to audible, build with construction, creating a topic based product for show and tell.

Day 2 of Health Week Scotland ad we were invited to the canteen for a special healthy breakfast. Thank you to our wonderful canteen staff for their time and effort this morning, we know you are very busy. We loved our healthy breakfast.

An enterprise team made reusable gift boxes and bags from recycled paper and card and decorated using scraps of coloured tissue. They made Hama bead tree decorations but made sure to make them sturdy so they would last and could be used for years. £58 was raised for School Fund.

Last week they were authors/writers/poets and publishers, this week they have been illustrators, illustrating their own copies of your class book :The Christmas Chronicles… Well done Super hard working pupils again 🥰 #DYWScot

We were learning about age restrictions and why it was important to follow them today. We were talking about appropriate content and how our brains develop and are able to rationalise, question and understand different things at different ages. #responsiblecitizens #beingsafe

P3/4 working in writing buddies to peer check their work has: * Capital Letters and Full Stops in right places. * Finger Spaces between words. * Neat Presentation. * Sentences make sense. * P4’s have used , ?!••• “ “ where appropriate.

P3/4 were working in pairs to design a background and Create Character Paper Puppets that will help them retell the life of Jesus through Stop Motion for the Community Easter Church Service.

P3/4/5 were completing a maths assessment today. They were given addition and Subtraction problems at their level of attainment and they had to solve the problems using the different strategies they have been learning. They also presented their learning and evaluations.
