When I had a hip replacement on the NHS as a teenager under the last Labour Gov the waiting list for one was 2 months. After 14yrs of Tory decimation of the NHS it more than trebled - and some wait up to 2 years! Proud to be a Labour MP with a Labour Government saving the NHS.

This Labour government is making our NHS fit for the future through investment and reform. Whilst the Reform party is planning to make patients pay for insurance.

On this day 77 years ago, Labour created the NHS.  For the first time in UK history, healthcare was free of charge to all who needed it. We will always protect it, so that it can protect you.

Twenty years on from the 7/7 attacks, we remember all those whose lives were lost and those whose lives were changed forever. We honour the bravery of the first responders, and the strength of the survivors. Those who try to divide us will always fail.
