Our latest ORC publication reports that a target trial emulation of shared decision-making resulted in more frequent opioid prescribing for chronic pain over 12 months, without additional benefits. Better SDM training appears warranted, including linkage with EBM curricula.

Congratulations to 30 @TCOM_UNTHSC students on completing ORC’s Summer Program in Clinical Research. Six student research teams will conduct projects involving target trial emulations or cohort studies to address research questions about chronic pain treatments and outcomes.
