It was a pleasure to speak at the BUPA nursing event this month, celebrating 40 years of nursing in care homes. A wonderful opportunity to reflect on the impact of social care nurses and recognise two outstanding teams with Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care Team Awards .

The first award went to Bupa’s Risk, Governance & Learning and Development Team. Their person-centred, cross team work to reduce choking risk has improved safety, empowered staff and families, and made a real difference to resident care. #SocialCareNursing #CNASCTeamAward

The second award went to the care team at Aston-on-Trent. Their resilience and teamwork have transformed their service, earning a CQC “Good” with “Outstanding” in caring. A brilliant example of compassion, leadership, and person-centred care in action. #SocialCareNursing
