Before making huge school-wide or district-wide decisions, what if we asked the question, "How do teachers really feel about this?"

Coaches: NONE OF US are where we are today on our own merits alone. Someone (and in a most cases, many people), helped us along the way to be where, and WHO we are today! Make sure you pay it forward, and be that person for others as well!

Please don't remove students from physical education, music, Arts, or other classes to remediate them in other areas. These classes are just as important for overall education and may be their favorite classes and one reason they like school.

Dear Superintendents, Let teachers wear jeans any day they want. Khakis don’t make students respect us, how we treat them does. Don’t overthink it. Love, Dr. Tarver

Sometimes, we forget that it's when special education and general education work together that sets our students up for success.

Effective teachers don't focus so much on rules, but more on relationships, routines, & expectations. If you focus mainly on rules, you will spend most of the year enforcing them. But if you focus on relationships, routines, & expectations, you rarely have to defer back to rules.

You CAN be the fun teacher, or the kind teacher, or the teacher that all the kids like, and still hold your students to very high expectations. That IS possible.

You wanna know the difference between a good player, and a GREAT player? Great players don’t need to be told to train in the off-season!

Good morning! Make it a point to be a great listener today. Focus on hearing what someone else says. You can learn so much if you slow down and listen. Have a great day!πŸ‘Š
