Saturday was earn pocket money day. My Dad left school at 14, and from 13 I worked as a Saturday Milk lad. The day would be spent rattling round in a slow electric cart, running here an' there up pathways with Milk. Horrible in winter, but five shillin's was five shillin's. 👍

Saturday is now spend pocket money day. 👍 The train departin' platform one will be callin' at Iceland, Poundland, the pie shop (Sorry Doc) and my local Wetherspoons. (Sorry again Doc) 🙄 All aboard... 😁

Sunday. 9th March. I'm told it's 'Covid day of reflection'. 🤔 Aye... Why not. Today I'll reflect on my late father in Law, who died alone while pleading for help by text. They gave him morphine 'To help him sleep'. He tried to spit it out. He's sleeping now. R.I.P. Graham.

I'm tired of postin' pictures for the time being. I think what I might do is tell first hand stories of life as it really was. 🤔 Instead of you lot lookin' at easy pictures an' goin' Oooh! Who would like to hear how it was to actually be there? Just askin'. 🤔

I saw my first housefly of the summer yesterday. Wasn't in my house, it was in the form of a soggy black lump at the bottom of my glass of beer. 😬 I nearly swallowed it! Didn't put me off though, I just moved pubs to this rather grand one instead. Wetherspoons Preston.👍🍻
