We are very sad to hear of the death of Nicolas Kiessling (1936-2024) who, among many publications, had great volumes with the OBS on the libraries of Robert Burton and of Anthony à Wood. We remember Nicolas in his books.

In ep. 126, I sit down with Adam Smyth to discuss his, THE BOOK-MAKERS. How a book was made tells us about the people who created it, as well as what the culture valued about books. The way a book was formed changes how we interact with it. bit.ly/40bmrYu
