Following NFU work, we're pleased the House of Lords supported small but significant amendments to the Renters' Rights Bill to ensure it better reflects changing employment practices in the ag sector. We urge @MHCLG to listen and adopt these amendments as part of the Bill.

Couple of weeks and this will have power steering and a rebuilt steering box. Quite excited by the concept of anything less than a 16 point turn.

NFU President Tom Bradshaw met Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith David Skaith about his report, which identified that 52% of Yorkshire farms do not make a profit. At Great Yorkshire Show, we're exploring ways of working together to overcome some of these challenges, including IHT, fairness in the supply

Good to meet with Daniel Zeichner on National Farmers' Union stand and raise the critical issue of restricted irrigation in Norfolk risking food production. Also asked about derogations to enable use of environmental areas and additional supplementary feeding during these drought conditions!

Back from clockmaker with a new quartz motor. Serial numbers show this ship’s clock, which would once have been slaved to a master clock by hard-wire, travelled the globe for 25 years on a container ship. I think about where it’s been every time I glance up at the office wall.

Generally working at Goodwood Festival of Speed was a chore, especially in very hot weather like today, but there was one year I was pleased to be there: 2008. This is me driving Aygo Crazy, a one-off, mid-engined car which was my idea and built by my friend Roger Dowson.

Thank you the Monnow Valley for a wonderful few days. Genuinely wonderful place, especially wading up or down stream away from places (other) tourists can reach.

This was the boy’s reading this trip. I fished this water many times with my late father, who had a rod there via the Services Dry Fly Fishing Association. Dad took me to meet Sawyer at his cottage when I was 11. It was many years before I understood what a privilege that was.

It's really encouraging to hear the Sky News #Daily podcast examining the impact of fly-tipping. It's a crime so many farmers and growers battle with and this highlights why our call for a single reporting mechanism is so important. Listen here 👉 ow.ly/Y41a50Wp38r
