Jajja was a uniter, bringing people together by hosting volunteers and friends of Hospice Africa Uganda every Wednesday for dinner at home, which resulted in lasting friendships. She saw the best in us, and her heart was big enough to accommodate everyone, including animals.

The introduction and local manufacture of oral morphine, pioneered by Dr. Merriman provided affordable pain relief to countless patients. This innovation became a global brand, now traded by the national medical stores on behalf of the Government of Uganda. Dr. Ronnie Bahonyire.

Dr. Anne taught us to be real human beings, expressing ourselves genuinely & to care for each other, which is essential because we could not give care to others without knowing caring for ourselves. That is how the patients and their families received the special care she brought
