Jajja was a uniter, bringing people together by hosting volunteers and friends of Hospice Africa Uganda every Wednesday for dinner at home, which resulted in lasting friendships. She saw the best in us, and her heart was big enough to accommodate everyone, including animals.

Dr. Anne taught us to be real human beings, expressing ourselves genuinely & to care for each other, which is essential because we could not give care to others without knowing caring for ourselves. That is how the patients and their families received the special care she brought

Dr. Anne founded HAU a pioneer hospice in Uganda, from where we generated our motivation. She is a founding member of Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU), which has grown to 30 member organizations, over 1600 individuals, 50 of whom are life members, and has a presence in all 146 districts in Uganda.
