Boots on the ground here at Gibson Southern High School for my annual trip down to the Pocket City Fall League. Looking forward to seeing some of the best prospects in and around the Evansville area!

Bryson Chapman (Evansville North H.S. 2026) has been an early standout here at Pocket City Fall League. 6’4” versatile wing has shown smooth ball handling ability w/ a couple tough finishes and made a pull-up 3 on the wing. Top returning scorer for North. Averaged 10 as a soph.

Evansville Central is a sneaky team to watch down this way this season that could be vastly improved. Return nearly all of their production. Senior backcourt duo of Zaryen Moore & Daveon Smith have stood out in this game. Averaged 12.3 & 11.5 ppg respectively last season.

Asher Evans (Evansville Memorial H.S. 2025) has had his shot-making ability on full display in this first game at the Pocket City Fall League. The 6’1” guard has made multiple 3’s including a really impressive pull-up behind a handoff that he sprinted into. He can SHOOT it!

Kaden Naab (Evansville Christian 2025) is off to a hot start in this one at Pocket City Fall League. 6’4” wing is a tough matchup due to his perimeter skill paired with his size and strength. He’s shot it well while also punishing smaller defenders at the rim.

Xander Niehaus (Castle H.S. 2025) is one of the top under-the-radar prospects in the Evansville area. 6’3” versatile wing has done good things on both ends at the Pocket City Fall League. Good passer. Athletic finisher at the rim. Very active defender. Good DIII guy!

Good back-and-forth battle in the second half here between two of the top seniors in Evansville. Landyn Richason (Evansville Central H.S. 2025) is shooting it at a high-level while Jay Summitt (Evansville Harrison H.S. 2025) is getting to the rim consistently.

Top scorers I’ve seen through first two games at Pocket City Fall League… Kobe Long (Castle H.S. 2025) - 24 points Jakob Wongler (Castle H.S. 2025) - 20 points Bryson Chapman (Evansville North H.S. 2026) - 19 points Demarcus Newson (Princeton H.S. 2026 - 19 points

Kolton Schmitt (Gibson Southern H.S. 2027) has shot it very well here in his home gym at the Pocket City Fall League. 6’4” wing is a high percentage shot-maker on the perimeter. Had a strong freshman season at the varsity level. A lot of upside to work with.

I continue to really like the upside of Wick Craney (Perry Central H.S. 2026). The 6’5” wing is very comfortable on the perimeter with the ball. Handles it like a guard. Can make catch-and-shoot 3’s. Creative & fluid enough to get his own shot.

Bryson Chapman (Evansville North H.S. 2026) put up 28 points in his second game of the day. He has been as impressive as anyone in the gym today at the Pocket City Fall League. Meyer Robb (Mt. Vernon - Posey H.S. 2026) was excellent in that one as well finishing with 23 points.

The Princeton Community duo of senior guard Jace Jenkins and junior wing Edwin Holmes is starting to get it going here at the Pocket City Fall League. Jenkins had a nice pull-up J and a great cut for a layup. Holmes has such a versatile skill set at 6’6”. Love his upside.

Jakob Wongler (Castle H.S. 2025) continues to shoot it well here at Pocket City Fall League. Had 20 in his first game and is scoring it again in this one. Tough little guard. Aiden Meyer (Castle H.S. 2025) has made a couple 3’s in this contest as well. Solid backcourt piece.

After nearly completing one earlier, Xander Niehaus (Castle H.S. 2025) just threw down a poster worthy dunk for the highlight of the day. The 6’3” wing then blocked a shot up near the top of the square on the other end and brought it coast-to-coast for a layup. ATHLETIC!!!

Edwin Holmes (Princeton Community H.S. 2026) finished up the day at the Pocket City Fall League with a 26-point performance. The 6’6” wing was excellent throughout the day, but he really dominated that second game. He’s a really intriguing prospect.

Jakob Wongler (Castle H.S. 2025) turned in another strong scoring performance in his second game at the Pocket City Fall League with 15 points. Kaden Naab (Evansville Christian 2025) added 23 points on 7 made 3’s.
