First, our awards from Pacific Historical Review. The W. Turrentine Jackson Award for outstanding dissertation on the history of the American West in the twentieth century. It is named for a longtime professor at @History_UCDavis who specialized in western and public history. 2/

The winner is Joseph David Schiller of OU History Department for “Zombie Miners: Life, Death, and Reanimation in the Wide Rural Rust Belt.” He is now with OU Press. More winners to come!
