ROARING Forward | In a little over a year and a half, we've funded projects that have resulted in the removal of 20,2012 snares from key #lion landscapes. This is all thanks to our hardworking partners and generous supporters. Photo: Jillian Knox

Great to hear one of the #WildlifeForensics labs we have been working with provided evidence to secure a 2nd #WildlifeCrime conviction in #Zimbabwe. This is only the 2nd time forensics has been successfully used in wildlife crime in Zim!

Well spotted. It is a reminder to us that lions are almost extinct in Gabon and that we need to restore them. Most were poisoned in the 1950’s and 60’s but one lonely male was found in Pleateau Bateke National Park 3 years ago. We hope@to@re-establish a population!

For every lion in the wild, there are 14 African elephants, and there are 15 Western lowland gorillas. There are more rhinos than lions, too. National Geographic interviews LRF director and grantees to shed light on the crisis facing Africa's lions. #lionrecovery on.natgeo.com/2Yfs4FU

#WORLDLIONDAY Did you know that SA🇿🇦 legally exports lion skeletons? A new lion bone CITES export quota is about to be set in SA🇿🇦. So today Blood Lions & World Animal Protection Africa are asking you to help as we call for a ZERO quota. TAKE ACTION: bloodlions.org/800-voices-for… #800Lions

WildlifeACT Times LIVE This is the ONLY park in Africa that has ALWAYS had black and white rhino roaming on it...such a special place and to think it is in the crosshairs of poachers who are waiting to change that status - we cannot allow that to happen. Talk about rhino today & let others know!!
