Dr. Ely attended the American Physiological Summit in Baltimore with HSC and HPM at PC students Caitlin Rohrbacher ’26 and Ashley Vasquez ’27. Caitlin presented on blood pressure regulation after post-exercise heat exposure, and Ashley on learning assistants in lab-based courses. Bravo!

Dr. Stack has received RI-INBRE funding! His group studies how gut microbes digest drugs, affecting their safety and efficacy. The project will characterize drug-modifying enzymes quantitatively as correlations are found by quantifying gene abundance linked to drug metabolism.
