Starting this weel with a powerful reminder from Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin, who lost her hearing, and became the first deaf performer to win an Oscar for Best Actress in Children of a Lesser God. “The handicap of deafness is not in the ear; it is in the mind.”
