Enjoy some retrograde actin flow in a T cell for #FluorescenceFriday. This process propels amoeboid migrating cells forward. Stay tuned for our upcoming preprint, describing a novel regulator of these cytoskeleton dynamics!

In our latest review EMBO Reports, we discuss the challenges of how cells actively position their organelles for functionality, and how this is coordinated with cellular motion. We also propose models of how organelles are moved w/o relying on anchorage. embopress.org/doi/full/10.10…

Super thrilled and thankful that my postdoc mobility grant is being funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation! 🥳 I will interrogate the cell biology of transmembrane protein recycling in amoeboid migration ISTAustria in the Sixt Lab.
