The Nebraska turfgrasses are ready for a break. The GreenKeeper wX station has been capturing the pain. High day and night temperatures plus 99% humidity nearly every night (air temp meets the dew point). Three quarters of an inch of rain and cool air expected tonight.

Wow, last night's storms were crazy. The 90+ MPH winds caused widespread damage. My neighbor's house took the brunt of a 70' pine tree. Good luck to everyone starting cleanup in Eastern, NE this weekend.

I'm pretty sure that I spend more time blocking bots on this platform than interacting with the content that I care about. What a dumpster fire. On the flip-side, the LinkedIn turf community really seems to be growing. Are you experiencing the same?

My dad is in town and pulled this club from his bag. He said it was his dad's, it's 70 years old, and he typically plays it once a round. Then my dad put his shot on the middle of the green from 190.

The soil surfactant modeling research continues. Thanks to Simplot Turf & Horticulture and Aquatrols Company for supporting this round of research. Six new treatments applied to large research plots - half putting greens - to create models for GreenKeeper this fall.

Wow, finally a break in the humid weather. The dew point is forecast to drop into the 40s! The wX station at Ager captured dew points near 80F yesterday. Include a wX station in your 2026 budget to get the most accurate weather data in your GreenKeeper account next season.

Bill Kreuser, PhD GreenKeeper Congratulations Bill, your GreenKeeper continues to be an asset to our operations…the daily data collection, interpretations plus the forecast ET reference water loss relative to irrigation/precipitation has been valuable this season. A MUST education subscription. 👊👏✅

We're excited to be in Napa as David Walter and his team prepare for this week's Procore Championship. They're GreenKeeper super users who use PGR models to dial in turf performance, WhiteBoard to manage staff, and rX sensors to document fairway health. Best of luck this week!

Data as a tool, not a chore. The staff at Silverado balance data collection with time efficiency. They use #ClipVol & Stimp readings to adjust mowing and rolling, GreenKeeper PGR models to dial in growth rate, and moisture meters plus a wX station to direct handwatering.
