July 24th is Amelia Earhart day, honoring the famed Aviation pioneer. It’s also the namesake for our PHX mascot Amelia and did you know Amelia Earhart herself has visited Phoenix Sky Harbor?

Our iconic tower is one of the 90 things people love about PHX. The 326-foot-tall Air Traffic Control Tower opened in April 2007 and changed the city’s skyline. It’s a recognizable landmark for both visitors and locals.

This week, ahead of Disability Independence Day, PHX showed some love for passenger assistance providers ABM and Prospect, by hanging banners and distributing pins for their employees. If you’re interested in this service, request passenger assistance when you book your flight.
