146,413 classifications in less than 2 days. We’ve been blown away by the response to our project. Thanks for all the help! Keep those clicks coming!

We’re nearly done with the archival data. We have new data hot off the telescopes ready to go, once we finish the last of the archival data ngts.planethunters.org

Computers are amazing, but sometimes they do something unexpected. In this blog post, Sean O'Brien explains the reason you sometimes find a W-shaped transit on Planet Hunters NGTS (Planet Hunters NGTS). blog.planethunters.org/2022/01/27/fal…

After a hard day being an academic (meetings, supervising research students, marking…) I get to spend all night running a telescope NRF|SAAO South Africa observing a possible transiting exoplanet identified by our Planet Hunters NGTS citizen scientists in NGTS data

Great fun doing an outreach talk for the IAA this evening, representing Astrophysics Research Centre @ QUB. I showed how we find exoplanets and ways that anyone can get involved through Planet Hunters and Planet Hunters NGTS. @AstronoMoore gave a great talk on supernovae discovery and braved a live demonstration!

What's that transiting object? It's a Ho-Ho-Hot Jupiter-like body! If your day has been lacking festive-themed exoplanet puns, then read my blog post that I wrote for the Planet Hunters blog. While you're at it, consider doing some classifications over at ngts.planethunters.org!
