Imp. trends on UK labour market declining women’s urban wage premium+ penalty for urban to rural move form the basis of Westminster Business School Dr Sabine D’Costa’s work. Prof Val Gillies (Centre for Social Justice Research) & I (CSDWestminster) provided sociological & political/feminist economics perspectives. #gender

It has been a labour of love to resuscitate CSD CSDWestminster Encounter. I am so proud of how it all came together on 8 Nov 2024. Thank you current/former/future CSDers + fantastic UoW colleagues (esp @peter_bonfield for encouragement). Most importantly, thank you John Keane

Intro, welcome remarks & visions for a future of CSD by Professor Nitasha Kaul, PhD and VC @peter_bonfield, followed by keynote from John Keane (scintillating & indefatigable despite responding to all afternoon panels!) on China’s galaxy empire, response by Kerry Brown & Q&A afterwards.
