It’s great to see our work cited in this umbrella review. Although ⬆️ body weight or obesity ⬇️ mortality after stroke, the impact on functional recovery is less clear. However, being underweight is associated with poor functional outcomes post-stroke.

New important study by Amy Yu, MD looks at associations between SES and receiving acute stroke treatments. For those admitted to stroke rehab, we previously found that patients had similar discharge destinations and LOS regardless of their SES. ➡️ cmajopen.ca/content/10/1/E…
