meanwhile, back in the US of A: One single person's (healthy!) hotel breakfast and its waste footprint. Plastic cutlery individually wrapped in plastic. single-use everything. no separate bins. and then the fresh coffee supply comes to the room... not impressed #hilton

In the UK you are not allowed to see your own blood test results (you are clearly too ignorant to make sense of them). So I will have to break out of work to discuss them with GP who may call "at any time". If I miss the call, it's another two weeks. #NHSNotAService

What is surprising is that it would take so long for a political leader to say this. But why would the right to vote be limited to EU citizens? The principle is the same for all immigrants. None of whom the Tories will ever welcome, of course theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

Is Gillian Keegan blissfully unaware that A-levels are used for University admissions? Can't believe the education secretary says "don't worry, A-levels don't matter" theguardian.com/education/2023…

Any Brexiter care to explain the rationale for this deal? It's killing the UK electric car import/export. "Under the Brexit deal, a 10% tariff will apply to any EU cars exported to the UK or UK cars exported to the EU that are not 45% home made" theguardian.com/business/2023/…

interesting how DHL claims they implement green solutions by delivering to ServicePoints, and then they end up doing pointless repeat trips because they try to deliver when those are closed. classic case of business processes going wrong because the underlying data is bad.

I don't know of any other country in Europe or thereabouts, where the most cost-effective way to buy a train ticket is to actually break it down into 5 tickets. Looks like a bad fix to a poor (but very expensive) fare structure
