Guess who's coming back to PND-Richard Spring Invitational in September? The defending boys Champs Mason XC and T&F from Ohio! That's who! Their girls want to get in on the action up front this time around too! Good luck Mason!

Was reminded today of the great Al Carius quote (from his dad), “If you’re in a position to help someone and you don’t, you ought not be in that position.” True leadership and lifetime lessons from one of the greatest men I have ever known! #leadership

Congratulations to PND Dax Duffy for yet another PR, this time in the 1600m to qualify for State, after making it in the 800m and 4x800 a year ago... Congrats also to Max Kirby in overcoming off-and-on respiratory illness for most of the season to qualify in the 3200m again!

All-State for PND Irish Corrina Fassino 8th in the 300mH in 46.04 and for Meghan Zopel 6th in the 1600m in 5:03.6 - both with PRs in their final races for the Lady Irish! Congratulations on excellent races and careers! Good luck at Wesleyan and at DePauw!

Crowds at Busch stadium were noticeably louder and more energetic the last couple of games. A number of players noticed it and said they feed off of it. #STLCards

Tough day for the Irish's Dax Duffy at IHSA 2A State prelims. Knowing he'd have to qualify by time, he took the lead on lap 1 as the pace was slow. After 800m, the legs weren't there like they've been all season. That can happen at State. Great season Dax! We're proud of you!

Logan Smallwood finishes his season as the state runner up in the 400 with a new PR of 49.26, lowering his own school record. His signature final push came up just .08 short of the win, but we are so proud of his efforts and his finish to such a special season! 📸 cred - PJStar

Max Kirby won the first section (of 3) of the IHSA 2A 3200m. He executed his race plan to the letter, running a season-best, ultimately placing 10th, one spot outside All-State. Tough to do from the "slow heat." We're excited now for CC! Great season Irish!

COMPLETELY ABSURD!!! Timpview of Utah’s Jane Hedengren broke the 2-mile national record at Arcadia at 9:34 and change. Today, she just annihilated anything & everything with an unfathomable 9:17.75!!! Sorry Michael Carter, your shot put record is no longer the most impressive!

The Cardinals lack of scoring runs the past two weeks or so is appalling. Yet the starting pitching may be even worse than that. Ready for someone upstairs to figure this out before the season slips completely away.

Are the MLB and NBA All-Star games much less the NFL Pro Bowl just mere shells of the fun and highly competitive contests that they once were? When anyone selected WANTED to compete, and not opt out, and then actually played hard... Maybe it's time to end these games?
