On Tuesday the 8th Dist Community Team hosted "Pizza with the Police" at the 8th District. Thank you Pizza City for the delicious pizza!

On Thursday Captain DeBlasis, 8th District community team, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Kevin, leader from Torresdale Rec hosted "water ice with a cop" This event sponsored by Rita's Italian Ice of Academy Plaza was a huge success!

The 8th District officers are so grateful to Wawa for providing delicious hoagies to our Heros!

Come join us at 6pm at the 8th dist. for the captains Townhall meeting. Guest speaking will be Lt Geer from Major crimes auto squad. He is an expert in the auto theft department and will be presenting the latest methods the criminals use and best methods of preventing car thefts.

Congratulations to P/O Amanda Arena #1120, Officer Arena put herself at personal risk of falling from the overpass while saving the life of a distraught citizen. Excellent job!

Special thank you to Community Outreach Specialist Tanya L. Jeter FBI Philadelphia for holding a class on identifying and preventing elder financial abuse. Very informative for our PDAC members.

8th District Community Team shared some important safety tips with campers at Fitzpatrick Rec Center. Children also enjoyed exploring the Police vehicle and snacking on some @herrfoo

Captain DeBlasis recognized and presented officers of the 8th District with years of service certificates P/O Winckler (35 years) P/O Martella (25 years) P/O McCauley (20 years). Also, P/O Arena earned a Commendatory citation. Congratulations to all!

Thank you Rep. Ed Neilson for your generosity, the waffle balls and bats along with the snacks are just what we needed for this wonderful event for the community and police of the 8th District

8th District community team visited Ramp Philadelphia Parks & Recreation center and held a safety class for summer campers. Wawa donated pretzels for campers to enjoy while exploring police vehicles.

Captain DeBlasis held a pop up "pretzel at the pool" event at Jacob's pool Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Thank you Wawa for the pretzel donation. Captain DeBlasis would also like to remind all of his Captain's Townhall meeting tonight, 6:00 PM at the 8th Police District, 3100 Red Lion Road.
