Collaboration between different entities conforming StakeHolder Panels is the core to move forward in PROMEDRICE_PRIMA project! A meeting was held by IAS-CSIC last Monday in the Guadalquivir Marshes to assess the work done so far and to plan next season

The meeting, coorganized by TEPRO Consultores, Gabinete de Iniciativas Europeas SL (GIESA) and IAS-CSIC was focused on planning next rice production season according to current local context together with Irrigation Communities. Proud of our great team 💪

Rice sowing date is approaching! Since salinity issues arised during recent draughts, we installed new sensors in critical points to monitor soil salinity and ponded water level to bettere manage irrigation. Rice producers knowledge is key to address the situation 🧑‍🌾

Ceramic cups at 15 and 70 cm depth were installed at ENTE NAZIONALE RISI experimental plots before pre-emergence herbicide treatment. Moving forward with our experimenation to define best rice management practices to ensure yield and preserve rice agroecosystems! 🚀
