A 35-year-old man arrested on Sunday, 20th July in connection with a firearms-related incident in the Coates Row area of east Belfast – during which one officer was scalded – has been released on bail to allow for further enquiries. The investigation continues.

Neighbourhood Officers today stopped a male whilst driving on the Newtownards Road, Belfast. On speaking to the driver and searching the vehicle, the male was arrested on a number of offences including; driving whilst unfit and possession of a class C drug with intent to supply.

Armed response officers assisted NIAS with gaining entry to a property in East Belfast after an older person had fallen and was unable to reach the door. Using specialist method of entry tools, officers quickly provided safe access for paramedics to render care.
