.American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) on Capitol Hill: BIG news with the introduction of the Medicare Patient Choice Act (H.R. 4204) in the U.S. House. This APTA-supported bipartisan legislation would allow PTs to “opt out” or privately contract with Medicare beneficiaries. #PTadvocacy

Thanks in part to #PTadvocacy, the Senate just passed its version of the budget reconciliation package — and it includes a 2.5% increase to the 2026 Medicare Fee Schedule. The bill now moves to the House, and APTA continues to fight for long-term Medicare payment reform.
