Our senior student parliament were able to visit phase one of our new refurbishment and meet some of the team leading the project. It was a great opportunity for our pupils to get an insight into the construction and engineering work that is creating our new school Pen y Dre High School

Lovely afternoon spent at Pantysgallog P.S. meeting the future pupils of Pen y Dre. Members of our Student Parliament discussed what life is like in secondary school and answered many questions from year 6 about our school. We look forward to welcoming you next year ⭐️ Pen y Dre High School
Fantastic day spent at @CollegeMerthyr for this years #StudentConference which centred around safeguarding. Our year 10 form representatives participated in workshops with fearless.org, StreetDoctors, @SWPMerthyr & SRtRC Wales | Cymru 🏴. It was a very informative event 👏🏼 Pen y Dre High School
Fantastic visit to London and UK Parliament today. Our learners were exceptional as always and were able to witness discussions taking place in the House of Lords and House of Commons Pen y Dre High School
Thank you to the staff, pupils and parents at Pen y Dre High School for their incredible donation to our Christmas Appeal 2023 🎄 36 filled gift bags will be donated to social services and Barnardos in the local area to children, teenagers and elderly people who are in desperate need ⭐️
Our annual visit to Jesus College Oxford with our senior student parliament was once again exceptional. Our pupils visited local sites learning about the history of Oxford, had an intriguing philosophy lecture and had the opportunity to consider their future at the college.

Fantastic event at Y Coleg Merthyr Tudful/The College Merthyr Tydfil for #WomensDay2025 empowering females to get into the construction industry. Extremely inspiring and informative 👏🏼 Pen y Dre High School
Red Nose Day 2025 ❤️ We had a bake sale, face painting, karaoke, Minecraft and a KS4 football match. Well done to all of our pupils and staff, an incredible £871.37 raised for Comic Relief 👏🏼👏🏼
Some members of Student Parliament visited phase 2 today before the opening to all pupils and staff after Easter. It was wonderful to see the fantastic facilities that will be on offer for our pupils next term Pen y Dre High School
Our year 7&8 form reps had the opportunity to visit the Welsh Parliament today. They were fortunate enough to meet Dawn Bowden MS, have a tour of the Senedd and learn all about the different parties and roles within the Welsh Government. Fantastic day with our pupils Pen y Dre High School
