A great closing performance by Palisander on Newsnight following the reports of the recorder becoming 'extinct' in the classroom. Wonderful role models for children and young people highlighting the possibilities beyond the humble school recorder.

This week’s unexpected delight- a concert by the totally awesome Palisander featuring a bigger selection of recorders than I knew existed!

ARTIST FIRST LOOK: PALISANDER 💃 The ‘Early Music Spice Girls’ will be bringing a plethora of recorders of all shapes and sizes, from 6 feet to 6 inches tall! Palisander are a multi-award winning quartet who have given concerts around the world. Catch them on the 10th May!

Palisander will be visiting local primary schools whilst they are with us. An extra special link to our festival- the group even includes a Caulkhead, with member Miriam getting her first 18 years of musical training on the Isle of Wight! ❤️
