Sleeping Beauty Castle pop-up - It was interesting, challenging, but mostly a lot of fun to make this. Also lots of fun to make booklets with basic solutions. One represents roses blooming and one with a sleeping guard. I hope one day I can work on a complex book like this! #OC

Banksy Crayon Shooter pop-up. This is for an official book publication. It’s a sad subject, and a striking message. I’ve tried to stay true to the artwork and message. Adding animation to the most prominent element.

How to make a pop-up dragon spit fire? Well, this is one way. A double v-fold raiser, on top of an over extended platform, with attached opening jaws. And a v-fold for the flames too. With a slightly different angle and position.

As always, doing experiments is a lot of fun and super interesting! I’m just figuring out what’s possible to see where it brings me… With no specific goal in mind. For this transformation pop-up I’ve tried a variation on the push tab mechanism that I’ve also used for the Phoenix

A pop-up spider. It was a fun challenge to find a mechanism that works and animates the legs in a natural way. I personally like the aggressive position of the front legs. Tutorial and template are available on my PaperPaul YT channel.
