For breakfast this morning in Zurich I enjoyed a lovely sort of ham from an area called Graubünden, and generous blocks of Mimolette cheese, among others! My kind and wonderful hosts truly provided a genteel warmth of nostalgia.

As I walk to the film festival today in Annecy, the scent of flowers and sound of birds fills the mountain air. It is a very pleasant, calming atmosphere! All the troubles and fatigue of travel disappears.

Follow my newest film’s account! We are in Annecy for a week-long festival, and then filming all over the country (and internationally!) for a very unique, rotoscoped documentary about sake called The Taste of Water.

There are few words to describe the pleasant beauty of Annecy! I love coming to work every day. Today will be the last at the festival for me - after this, I am off to Paris tomorrow. I am trying to take it all in. The smell, the feeling of the gentle breeze, the richness.

For my last breakfast in Annecy, I went all sweeties with a nougat buggie from Swiss Sprüngli, and a pastry from the local bakery. The coffee is especially rich and delicious today! Now I am off to Paris.

From to pastures of living cheese factories, to the Paris Gare de Lyon train station, I have arrived in no time. Now on to the hotel and an evening of sake!
