Concerned HISD parent. There is a culture of fear and retribution being created at HISD. We needed change, but this is NOT the change we needed.

This 👇 is a damning indictment on ⁦Mike Miles⁩. 😢 “School doesn't feel the same anymore. It used to be creative and engaging, and now it just feels repetitive. We're not asking for less learning. We're asking for better learning.” HISD student houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t…

These logos are so bad! Who in their right mind found them appealing? But the main problem is not the logos but the focus on something that’s not pressing, important or urgent. It’s misplaced priorities. Houston ISD Mike Miles

Such a depressing state of affairs ⁦Mike Miles⁩ ⁦Houston ISD⁩. It’s scary to think these are the things happening or not happening with this takeover. I’m at a loss for words; I’m sad for our community. We deserve way better than this. abc13.com/post/houston-i…

This is unforgivable. While the number of central office employees making over $200,000 has quadrupled under Mike Miles, Houston ISD doesn’t have enough funding for college advisors. This is wrong on so many levels.

Facts: 600 million deficit; 170 principals removed; 10,000 employees gone in 12 months; historic decrease in student enrollment; failed bond; student deaths; guns all over; culture of fear; non-stop protests. Mike Miles Houston ISD

It’s mind blowing how political this takeover is. It’s devoid of facts. Mr. Morath and Mike Miles are living in an alternate reality. They are not the ones paying the price. The community will suffer long after Miles is gone.

A member of the Laura Stout clan, he’s getting the boot. No one should be allowed to insult another leader by telling him to “add more bass to your voice” & act more “manly”. He got a grievance filed against him. Outcome? None. 🙄 Our community will be better off. Mike Miles

This is so obscene. And amoral. 🤮 My tax dollars going to waste on these “leaders” who are cashing in. They toe the line because they are getting paid outrageous salary amounts while those underneath them suffer. Houston ISD Mike Miles

Another member of the LauraStout clan boasts a salary of $197,000. If you open the hood you’ll find she falsified & twisted records and flat out lied on dozens of West area principals/APs. She wrote memos with fake information only get Laura Stouts way. #liar Mike Miles

Thank you Mr Rivon for having the courage to do what’s best for kids. Your abrupt removal proves this is about a political power grab and not about fixing ⁦Houston ISD⁩. I agree that improved test scores is NOT the same as improved student outcomes. houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t…

Crafting and passing a 5-year contract in the middle of the night, behind closed doors, further breaks trust. It’s maddening to see how Houston ISD keeps reaching new lows. The 4th largest city in the country and its taxpayers have zero say in this. It’s tragic.
