Caregivers, if you are uncertain about sending your child to school tomorrow and you have the ability to keep them home, do it and don’t feel any guilt about it. Attendance is not important. Health and safety are important. #PHLed

No surprises but deep disappointment in the abject failure to lead and lack of accountability. Always behind, always causing unnecessary turmoil and stress. #phlEd

Check the list to see if your children are virtual next week (initial list, they say it’ll be updated Sunday by 4pm). #phlEd philasd.org/covidupdates/

We’ve gotten media requests for parents who want to talk about discontent with COVID-related school shifts to virtual learning and how it is impacting their politics. All that does is show us (again) who these outlets are NOT speaking to in our communities. Willfully ignorant.

As grateful as we are for recent school-level facilities victories, Philly schools desperately need systematic and equitable investment, and that can only come from true community engagement. Thank you Philly HSCouncil and Parents United for Public Education for this. phillytrib.com/commentary/new…

Please join us in urging City Council to approve Mayor Parker’s nominations of Wilkerson and Streater to the School Board. Our children deserve high quality schools, whether charter or traditional. mailchi.mp/5223849f22f9/a… Councilmember Jamie Gauthier Councilmember Isaiah Thomas Councilmember Katherine Gilmore Richardson
