By operation of Section 89A of the Act, the Pensions Act now ceases to apply to members of ⁦Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces⁩ , who will now have their own pension scheme, with the Permanent Secretary, ⁦Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces⁩ designated the pensions authority.

Section 192 creates the Unit Court Martial for each unit of the Defence Forces, with a Chairperson not below the rank of Captain, an administrative officer of the unit, the regiment sergeant major or major of the unit, a junior officer and a private forming its membership.
