Although I want way more detail, a breakdown of the numbers, etc, this press release about the add’l $100bn is far more detailed than the prior three announcements citing much higher investments. Suppliers / cities / projects are named. A good sign. apple.com/newsroom/2025/…

Love how many people have been skeptical of me reporting that Apple invests $55bn+ a year in China, home to 90% of Apple production, but just nod along to a casual Wednesday announcement that Apple will invest $150bn a year in the US, home to a fraction of its manufacturing.

Like everything ⁦John Burn-Murdoch⁩ makes, this chart is amazing. The sharp decline in conscientiousness and rise in neuroticism among young people is astonishing. But also of note: literally every age group has gotten less extroverted in the age of the smartphone

Finished reading “Apple in China”. Excellent book, mixed feelings, and definitely didn’t expect to learn so much about a company I felt I grew up with. Highly recommended.
