The humidity will be high for the rest of this week and as ripples of energy fly from the southwest to the northeast in the upper atmosphere, showers will pop up along with a few storms.  The best chances for showers and storms will be on Thursday and Friday. Paul Barys

The chances for heavier rain will be increasing for the next 48 hours.  Some showers and storms will be developing all across the area starting tonight and continuing through Friday.  Highs will be in the low 80’s Thursday and in the mid 80’s Friday.   Paul Barys

We may see some light rain showers tonight, but I am not expecting any heavy rain for our end of the Tennessee Valley.  Sunshine should return on Saturday and Sunday.  It will be hot, but the humidity levels will be lower.  I am expecting highs in the low 90’s. Paul Barys

Temperatures will remain near normal for the rest of this week. Sunshine will be abundant Wednesday through Friday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80’s to near 90. Paul Barys

Warm, dry weather will continue for Thursday and hot weather will return for Friday.  Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 80’s to near 90 and highs on Friday will be in the low to mid 90’s. Paul Barys

Friday will be warmer with highs in the low 90’s.  Humidity levels will be going up a bit, too.  More high clouds will move in for Friday night as lows drop to near 70.  Saturday will see clouds increasing with a small chance for some showers late in the day.  Paul Barys

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed the Tennessee Valley into a marginal risk area for severe storms tonight. This is the lowest risk on a 1 to 5 scale. Showers and storms will develop and some of them could turn into either strong or severe storms. Paul Barys

We are going to enjoy some very nice weather for the next 48 hours.  Skies will be clear tonight and we should see lows in the upper 50’s to near 60.  Sunshine will be abundant on Wednesday with highs in the mid-’80s and a light south wind.  Paul Barys

Dry weather will be the rule for the next few days. Warmer temperatures will move back in, along with higher humidity levels. Thursday will see highs in the upper 80’s and the same will be true for Friday. Expect sunny skies with just a few passing clouds. Paul Barys

Humidity levels will be quite high for much of the week.  The high humidity levels will help pop up scattered showers and storms, too.  Highs for Tuesday will be near 90 with the heat index in the mid-’90s. We should have a 50/50 chance for these storms.  Paul Barys
